Peppermint Leaf is most commonly used for teas and herbal body care. It has been used for centuries to settle upset stomach and freshen breath.
Botanical name: Mentha x piperita
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of herb. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
Safety: Peppermint should not be given to children under six. Be cautious in taking peppermint if breastfeeding as it can reduce the milk flow. Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing.
